Meet Dr. Wardak
Dr. Maheen Wardak is a board-certified anesthesiologist with more than 15 years of experience delivering expert anesthesia care for complex surgical patients. A native Houstonian, she earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch before completing her Anesthesiology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston. She has trained and worked in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center for the duration of her career.
Dr. Wardak spent 10 years at Houston Methodist Hospital providing anesthesia for high-acuity oral and maxillofacial surgeries and complex head and neck tumors. This experience fostered a passion and expertise in advanced airway management, an area that remains one of her foremost clinical interests.
Beyond the operating room, Dr. Wardak has been an active leader in advancing quality and patient safety. She serves on numerous multidisciplinary quality improvement committees, national editorial boards for the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and is a member of the Texas Medical Board Expert Committee.
Today, Dr. Wardak brings her expertise to the office-based setting. She believes exceptional anesthesia care begins with understanding each patient’s unique medical history, concerns, and goals.
